Privacy policy

At PDF Profito there are no accounts, no ads and we don't sell data. This page explains, with no fine print, what happens to your files.

Tools that work on your device

These tools process files inside your browser. Your files are never sent to our server:

• Organize PDF
• Images to PDF
• PDF to images
• Compare PDF
• Edit PDF
• Watermark
• Page numbers
• Crop PDF
• Protect PDF
• Remove password

Tools that use our server

Some tasks need software that doesn't exist in the browser:

• Compress PDF
• OCR PDF
• Repair PDF
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF
• PDF to Word
• PDF to Excel
• HTML to PDF
• PDF to PDF/A

For those:

• The file is uploaded directly to our storage, on our own server (we don't use third-party services).
• It's processed in an isolated environment with no internet access. The only exception is “HTML to PDF” with a web address: it opens that page through a filter that keeps it from reaching our internal network.
• The original file is deleted as soon as processing finishes.
• The result is deleted automatically 1 hour later. You can delete it sooner yourself.
• Nobody looks at the content of your documents.

What data we keep

Only anonymous statistics to know what works and what fails: which tool was used, whether it worked (and the type of error), how many files, their rounded total size and how long it took, with the hour but not the minutes.

• We don't keep the content, your file names, your IP address or anything that identifies you.
• For on-device tools, the browser sends us only that summary; the file never leaves it.
• If your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on, nothing is sent.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies. We only store your theme preference (light or dark) in your browser.
